Art has a powerful way of reminding us how precious our lives are.  I have always known I was an artist. I have felt, seen and understand the incredible power of “Art” to unite, inspire and recreate moments. After spending a year in Australia through a study abroad program in photography, I started to really understand how light and shadow create our illusions and while I enjoyed creating beauty by controlling light, photography didn’t fulfill my desire to share what I wanted to share and express. I now use photography as a reference for my drawings and paintings of people, pets, places and memories that make up our lives.

Most of my work in the past few years has been commissioned, which has given me a unique voyeuristic prospective. I have had opportunity to participate while I tell the stories of others, enjoying what I do and bringing joy through my art. I adore the beautiful simplicity of love in relationships and have the power to bring that feeling back to my patrons. Drawing fills me with a sense of accomplishment and integrity and has proven a most amenable vehicle for translating inner feeling to visual reality.
